What Is the Difference Between Ligaplex I and Ligaplex II?
The following information is a summary and review based on Dr. Candy’s professional experience and recommendations. Any summary or statement has not been provided nor influenced by the manufacturer.
Ligaplex I has higher amounts of vitamin E, manganese and vitamin B12. These nutrients are needed in larger quantities when a lot of inflammation is present. For example, like right after an injury or surgery. This phase of healing involves a lot of swelling around the injury location and a significant amount of pain.
Chronic or long term recovery typically has less obious swellin and less pain. However, these long term or past injuries need nutrients such as vitamin A, a fat soluable vitamin that is depleted from the body during long term healing.
In practice, I use Ligaplex I for injuries less than 8 weeks old and Ligaplex II for the healing support of injuries older than 8 weeks.

Dr. Candy’s Pro-Tip: What’s the deal with manganese? Over the past few years we have heard a lot about emerging scientific research that ties manganese deficiency to injuries of ligaments and joints. The evidence shows that modern day deficiencies of this mineral are significantly contributing to injuries of athletes, kids, and even dogs. Most of our soils are now critically low in essential minerals like manganese, zinc and copper. Industrial farming and agriculture strip the land of nutrients. This can be caused by growing the same crop over and over - as well as herbicide chemicals like glyphosate which binds those minerals in unusable compounds.
